This is the basic sauce that I grew up eating with egg rolls, noodle bowls and banh cuon. Mom's special sauce
1 part apple cider vinegar
1 part fish sauce
1 part sugar
3 parts water
Minced garlic
Minced pepper
Mix together and bring to a boil, add garlic and pepper last.
